PE |
PE for Year 4 is on a Friday, (with Swimming taking place on a Thursday afternoon during Spring term). Please come to school in your PE kit on this day. Please ensure no earrings are worn. PE Kit: Dark trainers, plain dark shorts/jogging bottoms, white t-shirt. A school jumper can be worn over the top during colder months. If your child does not come to school in their PE kit, the parents will be contacted to bring their PE kit into school. |
Homework |
Homework is set termly on a grid, with each piece having a certain number of house point rewards attached to it. Children are encouraged to post a photo of their work on seesaw, but can bring it in if it is a creative project. |
Spelling |
Spellings will be provided on Seesaw each Friday. The children will practice their spellings at school daily through the No Nonsense Spelling scheme. The expectation is that the children practice their spellings at home daily, ready for their final spelling test every Friday. |
Reading |
In Year 4, children will access Accelerated Reader. The children will then be able to quiz on their books after reading them, earning them house points. Reading Diaries should be signed by an adult at least 3 times per week. |

Swimming |
Year 4 are currently swimming. They must bring the appropriate clothing for this and also bring a towel. Goggles are only allowed through prescriptions Boys: A pair of swimming trunks and a swimming cap if hair goes past the eyebrows when wet. Girls: A one piece swimming costume and a swimming cap for hair going past the eyebrows. |
Multiplication

In Year 4, children will take the Multiplication Table Check in June. We ask that children practice their time tables regularly. Times Tables Rock Stars log-ins are sent home and children will be tested on Mondays. |
